- 2009 Pesticide Applicator Training - The Private Pesticide Applicator Trainings for 2009 have already been completed. However, you are still able to obtain your applicator's license by self study. There is a $30.00 fee which includes materials and test processing. Make check payable to Pesticide Certification Training. The certification covers a five year period. In order to set up self study, please contact the Extension Office for more information.

This publication summarizes rates paid by farmers for custom work in 2007. The figures are based on reports by: farmers who hire custom work, custom operators who perform work, and machinery dealers who rent out equipment.

- Premises ID - The Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium (WLIC).. You may go to the Farm Service Agency and pick up a paper application and send it in the mail or go to the WLIC website and register. The Wisconsin Premises Registration Act requires anyone who keeps, houses, or co-mingles livestock to register their premises. Premises that are not currently licensed by the DATCP are required to register as soon as possible. PEPIN COUNTY FARM MANAGEMENT CLUB
You may now pay your 2009 Farm Management Club dues of $10.00 to the UW Extension Office, PO Box 39, Durand, WI 54736.
The Farm Management Club is an organization that has been in existance in Pepin County for over 50 years. This organization is dedicated to offering educational trainings/workshops/field days to farmers, agri businesses and interested parties in Pepin County and the surrounding communities.

PEPIN COUNTY DAIRY PROMOTION COUNCIL
This Council is made up of dairy producers, businesses, and individuals interested in promoting the dairy industry in Pepin County. This council sponsors the Pepin County Town and Country Dairy Breakfast every year. If you are interested in being a part of the council or helping at the dairy breakfast contact the Extension Office at 715-672-5214. This year the PEPIN COUNTY TOWN AND COUNTRY DAIRY BREAKFAST is Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Joe and Jan Drier Family Farm from 7 to 11 a.m. Pancakes, maple syrup, sausage, cheese, milk, pudding and ice cream will be served. Free will donations will be accepted. The Drier Farm is located at N7149 Co Rd X, Arkansaw, WI 54721.
