Pierce to Host Wisconsin Farm Technology Days July 20,21,22 2010

Pierce County has never hosted Wisconsin Farm Technology Days but they are about to start planning. Pierce County was given the opportunity to host the 2010 Farm Technology Days show. The WFTD Board of Directors accepted the county's application presented by Greg Andrews, Mel Pittman and Curt Kephart.  The event, among the largest of agricultural exhibitions in North America will attract a significant economic punch for their efforts.  In addition, countless leadership opportunites will be filled by agriculturists from Pierce County.

The formation of the Executive Committee is underway and soon this summer the host farm will be selected through screening of applications.

Pierce County is a terrific place to host Wisconsin Farm Technology Days and the Pierce County UW-Extension staff are excited and motivated to lead efforts toward an outstanding show. The Pierce County UW-Extension Staff consists of: Greg Andrews-Agriculture Agent and Department Head, Frank Ginther-4H and Youth Development Agent, Lori Zierl-Family Living Agent, Diana Alfuth-Horticulture Educator, Sarah Johnson-WNEP Educator, Barb Fritz-Muhlhausen-Support Staff, Cindy Miller-Support Staff, Sandy Radkey-Support Staff, and Sara Novotony - 4-H Program Assistant.
