  • 31st Current Issues Affecting Local Government Officials UW Extension Wisline: Developing the Annual Budget Wisline Teleconference 10:30 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. Nearest location: Baldwin, WI St. Croix Co. Ag Center. Other locations are available. Additional Wislines are scheduled for November and December, 2009, and February through April 2010.   • The St. Croix Valley Foreclosure Intervention Task Force has completed homeowner education materials for use in Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix Counties. Please contact Darien Simon (715-273-6781) if you would like more information.

Economic Development

NxlevelTM  Entrepreneurs Course, a 12-session training program focusing on teaching the art of better business practices will begin at UW-River Falls.  The cost is $250 including books and handouts, and completion of the course will include writing a business plan.  To register, call the UW-River Falls Small Business Development Center at 715-425-0620 or email tina.kelly@uwrf.edu

Educational Opportunity

UW Online Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Management Program begins, a collaboration between US- Parkside, UW-River Falls, UW-Stout, UW-Superior, and UW-Extension.  For more information, please see sustain.wisconsin.edu or call 1-877-UW-Learn (895-3276) or email sustainable@learn.uwsa.edu.  Courses include environmental studies, accounting, environmental policy, management, information systems, and logistics, supply chain management, and sustainability.  An Associate’s Degree or UW course equivalent is required to begin the program.
