Adopted Comprehensive Plan Document

The City of Stevens Point Common Council adopted the City's Comprehensive Plan by ordinance on January 16, 2006, following an Open House on January 9th and a Public Hearing on the Plan January 16, 2006. The Comprehensive Plan was developed by the City Plan Commission/Comprehensive Planning Committee over a 4 year period. The Plan Commission adopted the Plan on December 5, 2005, and recommended it for public hearing and Common Council Adoption. The Plan was amended by the Plan Commission on March 6, 2006, and the amended version adopted by the Common Council on June 19, 2006, following a public hearing on June 19, 2006.  A copy of the Comprehensive Plan is available for review at the City Clerk's office, 1515 Strongs Avenue, and at the Portage County Planning and Zoning Department, 1462 Strongs Avenue, Stevens Point, WI.
