2008 Plan Commission Recommended Amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Document
The Town of Sharon Plan Commission forwarded a series of recommended amendments to the Town's Comprehensive Plan document in the summer of 2008. The revisions to the plan were necessary to clarify some land use issues in the town through text and map changes. The following documents outline the recommendations forwarded by the Plan Commission to the Town Board for consideration. A public hearing on the proposed amendmends will be held by the Town Board on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sharon Town Hall.
There will also be an Open House August 4, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. so that people can review the changes; the documents will also be available at the Town Hall Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Adopted Comprehensive Plan Document
The Town of Sharon Plan Commission forwarded a resolution recommending adoption of the Town's comprehensive plan on December 21, 2006. Following a public hearing on January 23, 2007, the Sharon Town Board adopted the Town's comprehensive plan by ordinance on February 13, 2007.
The Town Clerk has copies of the Comprehensive Plan for review at the Town Hall. The Portage County Planning and Zoning Department, 1462 Strongs Avenue, Stevens Point, also has copies for review. In addition to these locations you can also find a copy of the plan at the Charles White Library, Stevens Point and Lettie Jensen Library-Village of Amherst.
