
The Racine County Multi-Jurisdictional Advisory Committee (MJAC) consists of at least one representative from each of the seventeen participating local communities, as well as a member of the Racine County Economic Development and Land Use Committee.
The purpose of the MJAC is to oversee activities necessary to develop and implement a comprehensive plan as defined in Section 66.1001, Wis. Stats. Responsibilities include:
- Act as a liaison between individual communities and the joint planning process.
- Oversee the development of the plan chapters and maintain timeliness of major planning milestones.
- Assist with the implementation of the public participation plan.
- Develop the nine required elements of the comprehensive plan.
