PARENTING, GRANDPARENTING AND FAMILY CAREGIVING

As They Grow newsletters focus on early learning topics and activities for families with preschool children. Copies are distributed through child care programs in Racine County, and partner organizations including the public libraries in Burlington, Racine, Rochester, Union Grove, and Waterford. Parenting the First Year, a UW-Extension research-based publication, is an age-paced, monthly newsletter matching the ages of children 1 -12 months.
For families living east of I-94 in Racine County, the City of Racine Health Department and the Caledonia/Mt. Pleasant Health Department send the first issue to all families with newborns. A stamped, postcard is attached to the first issue allowing parents the option to receive the remaining issues by mail or to register on-line to receive monthly viewings of the newsletters at www.RacineParentNews.org.
In western Racine County, Memorial Hospital of Burlington/Aurora Health Care sends the newsletter each month directly to the home of families with babies born at the Memorial Hospital or residents served by the Western Racine County Health Department. The newsletter can also be viewed online at the UW Extension Family Living Parenting website.

Parenting the Second and Third Year newsletter is also distributed by Memorial Hospital of Burlington/Aurora Health Care. The newsletter can be viewed online at the UW Extension Family Living Parenting website.
