Families are the foundation
of society. Trempealeau County Cooperative Extension Family Living
Program provides educational programs and resources to strengthen
both families and communities. Major programming efforts include:
- Building strong families and communities
- Family resource management
- Food and nutrition
The family living agent
networks with schools, organizations, agencies, and other institutions
to provide educational programs that enhance family life. Research-based
information is also shared through newsletters, parenting columns,
news releases, one-on-one office or on-site conferences, and phone
contact.

This brochure is meant to help one decide if you MIGHT be eligible
for government sponsored programs (Healthy Start, Free and Reduced
School Meals, BadgerCare, The Emergency Food Assistance Program,
Food Stamps, WIC) based on poverty guidelines. It also provides
information on who to contact for more information

Personal Family Financial
Consultation
The family living agent will arrange individual or small group
workshops to help you reach determine and reach your financial
goals. Emphasis is on setting personal financial goals, tracking
spending, organizing your financial records, setting up your spending
plan, reducing debt through power payments, and starting a savings

Meat HACCP - research-based help for small meat and poultry processors. Key resources on this site include:
THERM - a web-based program for evaluating deviations in raw product processing or handling.
HACCP Model Plans - model plans jointly developed by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trace and Consumer Protection (Food Safety division) and the University of Wisconsin-Extension for use by small and very small meat processors throughout the state.
