Reading to Your Child…
Do you ever wonder how often and what you should read to your child? During this course, we will explore some old favorites, find some new, and read together.
Join us to explore titles such as:
Growing Colors by Bruce McMillan
Eating the Alphabet by Lois Ehlert
How a Seed Grows by Helene Jordan
Early exposure to reading and books is important for young children. Nutrition professionals agree that healthy lifestyle choices begin early in life. We will take a look at some books that help children make the connection between food and their bodies. This class will focus on making healthy eating choices and the relationship we have with food.
The class format will include story time focusing on the topic of the day, finger plays, puppets, and healthy snack, you and your child can enjoy. Registration is limited to 15 children and their caregivers. The program includes nutritious snacks and handouts about nutrition, reading, and fitness.
