Ambassadors meet once per month and are required to attend a minimum of eight meetings as well as participate in a variety of promotional activities. These activities include talking to community groups, representing 4-H in area parades, recording public service announcements, writing newspaper articles, visiting clubs or schools, and assisting with county events. In addition, potential Ambassadors must have been an active 4-H member for at least the past two years, have been in Junior Leaders or Youth Leadership project for one year, have re-enrollment forms turned in on time, and show leadership skills and self-confidence. Ambassadors in grades 8–11 are eligible (but not required) to attend Wisconsin 4-H & Youth Conference for Ambassador Training.
