Conducting the Annual Board of Review for 2008
 |
Annual Board of Review training is now available through the UW-Extension
Local Government Center in three different ways:
- Attend a WisLine program (open the registration brochure -
PDF file, 476 kb)
- Register for the online program (audiostream) at our learning store
- Order the materials and a tape or CD by completing this order form (
PDF file, 119 kb)
|
Participating in one of these three options meets the certified training requirement by the state. Certification for the Board of Review is a two-step process. First, complete the affidavit from page 3 of the materials and attach the completed exam on page 5 (answers will be given during the program). The second step requires the clerk to file an affidavit online with the Department of Revenue. Instructions for online filing are found on page 27 of the materials.
After you have completed your training, you may wish to view the mock Board of Review video. The video covers the necessary procedures for the board and three objections that cover residential, agricultural and commercial property. Viewing the video does not count as certified training, but it may help you pull together all that you have learned about conducting the annual Board of Review.
To find out what other training options for Board of Review are available, go to the Department of Revenue training website or contact your local government association.
