The development of this course has been funded by a Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century grant through the University of Wisconsin Extension. The purpose of this grant was to encourage the utilization of emerging technology tools to reach a larger, more diverse audience, to improve the over-all educational experience and to reduce time and costs associated with traveling to out-of-town workshops.   We hope that you will enjoy learning through this on-line, self-directed course.   We also hope that you will be able to apply the information you have learned to your local community planning process.
