Source: State of
Wisconsin Department of Administration
Official population
estimates for the State of Wisconsin. Updated annually for the
previous year, for example 1998 estimates are available in 1999.
Includes population estimates by county, municipality, and zip
code. Note that the population total for municipalities in more
than one county is listed separately. The listing with the other
municipalities is only the portion in the county. For example,
the number of people in the part of the City of Berlin in Waushara
County is listed under "Municipality Estimates by County."
To find out the total population in the City of Berlin look under
"Municipalities in Multiple Counties." Includes a comparison
of the current population estimate with the previous census population
count. Under the heading "Census and Population Information"
select "Population & Housing Estimates." Then under
... "Final Population Estimates select to view either "Municipality
Population Estimates by County" or Municipalities in Multiple
Counties Estimates" as either an Adobe PDF file or Microsoft
Excel file.

Population count is
updated every ten years for all geographic areas. Population estimates
are done annually. General population counts and general population
estimates for these geographic areas are available the year after
they are completed, for example 2000 counts are available in 2001.
General population counts are available for state, county, county
subdivisions, and places. Places are incorporated villages, and
cities. County subdivisions are towns, villages, and cities. Population
counts are also available for zip code areas, census tracts, and
census blocks. This is a large site because it covers the whole
country. The following are the most relevant web sites related
to general population totals.
http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/BasicFactsServlet
From this site you
can search a database of counts from the 2000 Census. You can
find the general population of a state, county, city, village,
town, or zip code by clicking on "Fact Sheet" on the
left side of the site. In the space provide type in the town,
village, county, state, or zip code and hit "Go."
Or
You can find the
general population of a state, county, city, village, town,
zip code, census tract, block group, block, Congressional District,
tribal land and by clicking on "Data Sets" on the
left side of the site. Select "Census 2000 Summary File
1..." Then Select "Quick Tables." Select a geographic
type and if appropriate select from the other pull down menus
that appear below it. Then under the heading " Select one
or more geographic areas ..." Highlight a geogrphy and
hit "add". Then hit "Show Results." Note:
"County Subdivision" includes towns, villages, and
cities within a county. For cities and villages, like Berlin,
WI, that is in more than 1 county, "County Subdivision
includes only that portion of the city or village in the county.
To get the total population in the City of Berlin or any other
city in more than one county, select "Place." "Place"
refers to an incorporated municipality, like a village or a
town. In the case of cities or villages like Berlin that are
in more than one county, "Place" refers to the whole
city
http://venus.census.gov/cdrom/lookup
From this site you
can search a database of counts from the 1990 Census. General
population totals are contained in the 1990 Census Summary Tape

Select this link on the page, "STF1A." To find the
total population in the county, town, village, or city from
the page entitled "Current Level: State," select
Wisconsin and "Go to State - - County." Then "Submit"
to go to the next page. Now you can either view the county's
population by selecting Waushara and "Retrieve the areas
you've selected below," or go on to view the municipal

Subdivision." Then "Submit" to go to the next
page. From this page, "Current Level: State--County--County

County. To get the total population in the City of Berlin, select
Wisconsin and "Go to State - - Place" from the page
entitled "Current Level: State."

For example, 4 digits is more specific than 3 digits.
http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/lmi/WDA/wda04.htm
This site contains
a link to the "1998 OES regional wage survey." Includes
the mean (average), median, high and low hourly wages for different
types of industries or businesses in the Fox Valley Region.
The Fox Valley Region includes Waupaca, Outagamie, Calumet,
Winnebago, Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Waushara Counties. Per
capita income for Outagamie County, the highest in the region,
was 50% more than the per capita income of Waushara County,
the lowest in the region. This would imply that the hourly wage
in Waushara County would be less than the hourly wage of the
region. This report contains a series of tables that show projections
of occupations that are anticipated to increase or decrease
in number in the Fox Valley Region between 1998 - 2008.
