Steering Commitee - This 9-10 member committee will be comprised of representatives from each town currently in county zoning or considering rejoining county zoning. Representatives from East Central Regional Planning Commission, UW-Extension and the Planning and Zoning Department will also be on the committee. The role of this committee will be to review the entire code from beginning to end starting in January 2009.

One-on-one interviews - Up to 14 individuals who use the code regularly or might have an opinion about the code and its administration will be invited to participate in a one-on-one interview with the project consultants in November 2008. Invitees may include planning and zoning committee members, county executive, county department heads and consultants who use the code on a regular basis.
Policy Issues Workshop - Currently scheduled for Saturday, December 6, this workshop will include brainstorming and discussion that will establish priorities for the rewrite project and give the steering committee direction. Invitees to this workshop will include steering commitee members, town representatives, representatives of realtor and environmental groups, and planning and zoning committee members. Open House - according to the current Phase I timeline (pdf,1 page), there will be an Open House for interested public to learn about the project status and draft recommendations. Date/time TBD.
