Wisconsin Nutrition Education Program (WNEP)
WNEP is the Wisconsin Nutrition Education Program and is operated through the University of Wisconsin Extension. We are very excited to bring this project to the area and have a goal to reach and educate the food stamp eligible population about nutrition, food safety, physical activity and available state services for low-income individuals and families. Tthe Wood County WNEP Nutrition Educator will be sharing activities with various groups, primarily elementary school children and senior citizens. WNEP focuses on reaching the low-income population however, our assistance is not limited to those specific individuals.
