DISTRICT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN
(DRMP)
A team of Northern District faculty and staff summarized county
needs based on local strategic plans. Current programming based
on these needs is still our top priority. In addition, from
these needs the following new and expanded program directions
were identified.
NEW...... District One-Time FY08 Funds:
Colleagues: As of May 2008 we have approximately $2,000 available for initiatives within the district. We encourage you to submit your ideas to the district resource management team. To facilitate our District Resource Management disscussions on projects, we would like to use the following form. Please complete this brief description. This will not be used as a criteria sheet, just a means to facilitate discussion. Please email this form back to Cathy Crandall as an attachment.

DRMP Team

District Resource Management Plan Summary Operating
Guidelines
Representation and Size
- Members should have a district-wide perspective
- We will function with the currently elected six members and
District Director, who will serve as chair. The District Administrative
Assistant, Cathy Crandall, will serve as an ex-officio member
and support person
- To ensure rotation half the team will serve for two years
and the others for three. Following the first rotation, all will
serve on staggered three year terms. The three to be rotated
off in two years will be decided at a later meeting
Non-Cooperative Extension Representation
- The Team membership will consist of the elected members from
the Distirct.
- WACEC board members and others will be kept informed of the
DRM Team's work. They will also be involved as needed
Voting and Consensus
- The Team will use consensus as their main decision making
tool
- If stalled by consensus, the group will seek further input
and resort to a vote if needed
- All members will seek to avoid voting one interest over others.
- The District Director will make decisions in crisis situations
Resource Requests
- These can be made in a variety of ways- verbally to a committee
member, electronically and/or in a narrative form. The DRM Team
does not consider itself a granting organization but will allocate
resources to important district priorities and in response to
opportunities. Those wishing to request resources can prepare
a brief concept paper indicating how the request meshes with
District Priorities and/or how it will help the district.
Communication
- Anyone may attend our sessions, our information will be on
our website, and the members will share information with their
colleagues.
Miscellaneous
- We reaffirmed a commitment to open hiring in the District.
All position vacancies or new positions will be filled through
open posting.
