PARTICIPATION
Staff participation in the February 2012 District In-service is highly encouraged. District in-services should be scheduled on the third Tuesday of the month whenever possible
District in-service opportunities are designed to contribute to staff development and programming efforts by providing face-to-face opportunities:
to increase individual and group subject matter content knowledge and process skills,
to identify, discuss, plan, and evaluate cooperative programming efforts, and
to enhance program and cross program area teamwork, networking, and collegiality.
WNEP Nutrition Educators are welcome to any in-services they feel will be of value to them. Group participation will be coordinated by WNEP and Family Living District Program Reps. REGISTRATION
Please note that responsibility for coordinating participation for district in-services is divided between the District Office and Program Areas. For those coordinated by the district office:
Registration fees will be in full. No partial registration.
Advance notice of intent to participate is needed by promoted date.
Payment accepted in advance by check or at registration time in form of check or cash. Checks will be made out directly to UW-Extension unless noted.
Emergency cancellations accepted up to 72 hours before meeting. After that time, registration payment is still required.
Registration information will be distributed well in advance of meeting date via e-mail. On-line registration is available and encouraged. Please submit one response per county.
All district in-services coordinated by the district office will begin registration at 9:00am with meetings starting at 9:30am adjourning at 3:00 pm, to facilitate ride sharing. PLANNING GUIDELINES
Each program area is expected to plan program area meeting dates (in addition to the September and February all-colleague meetings). The number of dates is at the discretion of the program area, but not to exceed 8 days per calendar year. When appropriate, every effort should be made to meet on the third Tuesday of the month (scheduled district meeting dates), and at a common location, to facilitate ride sharing.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Facilities, finances, agendas, etc., are the responsibility of the program area for those in-services not coordinated through the District Office. Program areas are asked to limit the additional in-services to two per year.
