Caregiving Near Life's End
The Alliance partners with The Hospice Institute of the Florida Suncoast to offer a train-the-trainer course for professionals working with family caregivers. The nine-module curriculum helps caregivers deal with end-of-life issues. Topics include completion and closure, personal relationships, the meaning of life and bereavement. The curriculum can be used with groups, typically in five sessions, or individually.
Modules offer many trainer resources, including self-directed activities,
participant handouts and caregiver resources. A teacher's guide with suggested
discussion questions, activities and teaching tips is also included.
