Caregiving Research
Collecting, using and building on existing caregiving research is a key goal
of the Alliance. As a group, we hope to share "best practices" about
caregiving that are supported by quality research. In this section, caregiving
professionals will find the latest reports and articles
on caregiving as well as descriptions of the following research projects:
- The League of Experienced
Family Caregivers, a registry of family caregivers sharing knowledge and
insight on their caregiving experiences. UW-Milwaukee, in partnership with
UW-Extension, will use this collective wisdom to assess caregiving needs and
create educational resources for caregivers and care managers. Get
involved in research tells how you can take part in this project.
- Learning from You:
PTC Spouse/Partner Caregivers Project – UW-Milwaukee is conducting
a pilot study focusing on how the Powerful Tools for Caregivers curriculum
benefits spouse/partner caregivers. Please see the attached
document for more information on the Learning from You study
and how Powerful Tools for Caregivers Class Leaders can help identify
interested participants!
