Thriving with Your Spirited Child

Spirited ChildA spirited child is assertive, energetic, persistent, strong, independent, sensitive, creative, curious ........
This curriculum is developed for parent educators to use when working with parents of spirited children. It includes 5 short activities for children when child supervision is provided with  the parent program.

Thriving with Your Spirited Child was created to provide resources to parents/guardians of spirited children. As parenting class participants asked questions it was evident that they were describing spirited child characteristics. The parents did not realize they had a spirited child and had inadequate tools for dealing effectively with the temperament traits.

These parents/guardians thought they had a monster child, that they were terrible parents and that the children were doing this.....on purpose...... to GET them.

Of course, none of this is true. This curriculum provides parent educators with proven effective tools for parents/guardians of spirited children. The childrens session activities offer spirited children and their siblings tips for dealing with strong temperaments.
