Lesson VIII:
Economic Assistance Programs for Working Families

This session will focus on economic assistance programs for working families. The session will provide an overview of the economic challenges facing working families in Wisconsin; basic information about a range of economic assistance programs available to working families; and resources that can help you, and families, to get more information. The session includes a fairly detailed orientation to one type of assistance – refundable tax credits – and a broader overview of a range of other programs including nutrition assistance, health insurance, energy assistance, subsidized childcare, W-2, and Unemployment Compensation.
