Economic Assistance Programs for Working Families
Part 5: Unemployment Insurance

Workers who lose a job may be eligible for temporary cash assistance through the Unemployment Compensation program. This portion of the lesson provides an overview of the key features of that program. As with the other programs covered here, many eligible workers do not participate.
