Wisconsin School Breakfast Conference 2006
Tools for Breakfast Success Conferences - October 4th and 17th
FAQ
Why should I attend the conference?
This first-time event is a unique experience only for Kohl School Breakfast Grant recipients. All grant recipients are strongly encouraged to attend this great opportunity to help them succeed with their grant. The day will be full of time to share, network, learn and have fun! You’ll come away with new ideas, information, contacts, resources, and most of all energy to make your breakfast program as successful as possible. The day will provide you with the “Tools for Breakfast Success”.
Who should attend?
If you received a Kohl School Breakfast Start Up or Program Improvement Grant, then you should attend. Each grant recipient is encouraged to have one administrator (e.g. Business Manager, Principal, Superintendent etc.) and one food service representative (e.g. Food Service Director, Manager, Lead etc.) attend the training. In addition, if more than one school in your district received an award, each school is encouraged to send a representative (food service or administrative) to the conference.
For example, if only one school in your district received a grant, you are encouraged to send 2 people, one food service representative and one administrator. If you have three schools with a grant, then you are encouraged to send 5 people, one food service representative and one administrator as well as one representative from the three schools that received a grant.
What conference should I attend?
There are two conferences for your convenience, you can choose the one that best suits your needs, based on location, date etc. The same topics will be covered at both conferences, only the location is different. However, everyone attending from your district or school, should try to attend the same conference.
How much does the conference cost?
There is no fee to register for the conference; however, you are responsible for your own travel to and from the conference as well as any overnight stays and meals that you require. We will be providing refreshments and lunch on the day of the conference.
How do I pay for the conference?
Costs associated with attending the conference such as mileage, hiring replacements or subs, hotel stays and meal costs while traveling are allowable expenses that your Kohl grant can cover. Submit these to your district as you normally would. Your district will be reimbursed through the grant as they normally would using a 1086 form. Please abide by your district’s travel policies.
