Governor Doyle’s statement on the state of School Breakfasts in Wisconsin


USDA Food and Nutrition Services

Contains up-to-date information on the School Breakfast Program and regulations. Also has a fact sheet on the School Breakfast Program and a toolkit that has resources for use with parents, teachers and students.


Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction

Includes information related to Wisconsin’s Breakfast Program.


Food Research and Action Center

A good overview of the School Breakfast Program. Conducts the annual School Breakfast Scorecard. Has a brochure and fact sheet for printing.


School Nutrition Association
(formerly School Food Service Association)
The official site for National School Breakfast Week. It contains resources for promotion as well as some activities for students.


Wisconsin Food Security Project

Contains county specific information on School Breakfast Program participation and availability. Choose Custom Profiles from the left-hand list.


National Dairy Council

Has fact sheets as well as key information on the importance of breakfast for different audiences. Also has links to research summaries on School Breakfasts and information on alternative serving methods. See Expanding Breakfast section.

A California based site that isn’t quite finished yet, but a lot of useful information about different ways of serving breakfast and what kids, parents, teachers etc. can do to put “breakfast first”.
