Structure
The partnership provided the initial impetus to bring together interested

their grandchildren and/or children and their families.
Established in Fall 1998, the partnership's major purpose was
to bring awareness to the issue surrounding grandparents raising grandchildren
with the intent of creating a statewide task force. This statewide task
force assumes leadership through cooperative efforts to create awareness
of grandparents raising grandparents issues and concerns, assist in fostering
cooperative programming and service delivery methods and changing necessary
public policies and procedures.
