What is PACE?

At heart, PACE is a build-your-own-workshop curriculum. It does not offer full lesson plans that can be used in every situation. It does not provide a specific set of instructions that are universal for every workshop. This is deliberate; the circumstances, audiences, and local demographics encountered by educators in Wisconsin will vary widely from region to region and situation to situation. It would be unfair to assume that each workshop will need the same components.

The freedom of this format empowers educators to explore the full resources of PACE and find activities and materials that can combine to create the best possible presentations. Personalizing a workshop to your audience-as opposed to using a "cookie-cutter" workshop-can inspire creativity and innovation in participant responses.

How do I navigate this curriculum?

Because of the “build-your-own” format and web-integration, the structure of PACE is different from other curricula and textbooks you may have used. For example, you may notice that the pages of PACE are not numbered from start to finish. This is intentional. As updates are released, the pagination would quickly become problematic. In order to keep the reader organized, PACE offers a distinct organizational structure.

PACE is divided into seven sections:

Each section begins with a Foundation Page which offers futher description of the contents. It also contains a running list of all the documents in that section and the order in which they should appear.
