What is scholarship?
UW-Extension has been asking that question and refining the answer over the
last several years. After researching the subject and applying the concepts
to the mission and vision for Wisconsin Extension work, scholarship has been
defined in the following way-
These four criteria form the foundation for scholarship in UW-Extension. All
four criteria must be present.
To determine whether work meets this standard, there are questions
to consider.
These questions are a guideline and not every item in the questions must be
present in the work. Rather, some aspect of each criterion must be present,
using any of the questions listed.
