  • Serve as a nutrition education resource person for county-based nutrition educators and coordinators working with the Wisconsin Nutrition Education Programs (WNEP).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison
  • Master's degree in nutrition from Rush Presbyterian - St. Luke's medical center
  • Registered dietitian
  • Certified dietitian

Previous Professional Experience

Gayle joined UW-Extension in September 2004 after working with both the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and Food Stamp Nutrition Education at Michigan State University Extension for 11 years. She also has experience working as a research nutritionist, working in community nutrition as a dietition for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) in Illinois and Michigan, and doing curricula development for the Dairy Council of Wiscosnin.

Highlights of Current Assignments

  • Provide support for adult nutrition education
  • Nutrition advisor for WNEP in the Northern and Southern districts of Wisconsin
  • Project Director for Wisconsin for the Healthy Toddlers through a Positive Feeding Environment multistate research project
  • Member of the Eating Well and Being Active team and the Healthy Families and Communities team
