Position Priorities
- To promote poverty education programming and the Povery Awareness for Community Engagement (PACE) curriculum; to work with the Wisconsin Food Security Consortium; to provide support to other Extension efforts in the areas of poverty and food insecurity and to provide leadership to programming in these areas; to help develop the Wisconsin Homeowner Preservation Education curriculum.
Education
- B.A. Psychology and Sociology, UW-Madison
- Prior to starting with Extension, Nick served in a similar capacity for UW-Extension as an AmeriCorps VISTA, with the additional focus of improving service-learning opportunities among the UW Colleges.
Highlights of Current Work and Relationships to Family Living Programs
- Co-chair of the Poverty and Food Insecurity Team; principal writer and project manager of the PACE curriculum; primary writer and editor of Ending Hunger in Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Food Security Consortium's statewide action plan (www.EndHungerWI.org); member of the Wisconsin Food Security Consortium steering committee.
