Previous Professional Experience
- Julia joined Extension in 2007 after spending seven years as a college
dietitian at Syracuse University (SU) in Syracuse, NY. Some of her
responsibilities included working at the Health Services and Food Services
Department, as well as being involved in wellness programs and committees on
campus. She also worked closely with faculty in the department of Nutrition at
SU. She has been involved in many community nutrition projects, in the past,
both domestically and abroad and has experience working with diverse
populations. She grew up in Peru and is fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
