Message from the President:
Welcome to the Wisconsin Extension Association of Family and Consumer
Sciences (WEAFCS) web site!
The National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences
(NEAFCS) and the Wisconsin Affiliate (WEAFCS) provides professional
development for its members, recognizes their achievements, encourages
research and participates in public policy education.
WEAFCS Membership is open to all UW-Extension employees working
in any capacity with family and consumer sciences programming or
Cooperative Extension Administration with a minimum of a bachelor’s
degree. A UW-Extension employee working in any capacity with family
and consumer science programming or CE Administration who does not
currently have a Bachelor’s Degree is eligible to join the
Wisconsin Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (WEAFCS) as
an “Associate Member.”
The NEAFCS/WEAFCS Vision includes:
- Builds leaders for the future.
- Provides continuing education and professional development opportunities
for Extension professionals.
- Recognizes and promotes excellence and scholarship in Extension
Family and Consumer Sciences programming.
- Provides education, information, networking and partnerships
nation-wide.
