to the Executive Board.

Public Issues Leadership Development (PILD) Scholarship
The PILD Scholarship was established to encourage WEAFCS members to attend the annual PILD Conference in Washington D.C. This Award was discontinued in 2006 when money was built into the WEAFCS Annual Budget for the WEAFCS President to attend this session.
NEAFCS AWARD SUBMISSION NOTICE
"The WEAFCS awards sub committee will review each NEAFCS award submitted. All national applications require the applicant to submit an electronic application, on-line, in the “Members Only” section of the NEAFCS website (www.neafcs.org). This application form must be printed, signed, and submitted with all other award material to the WEAFCS Awards & Recognition chairperson by the January 15th deadline. The availability date of the on-line application may vary, being dependent on the receipt of all annual dues. The national chair will notify all NEAFCS members by email when the on-line form is available. National recommends preparing all award and support materials as a first step, and completing the on-line application (when available) as a final step."
Based on award criteria, the subcommittee will select applications for national award consideration. Award applicants forwarded to national for further consideration will be recognized by WEAFCS at the JCEP annual awards banquet. National and Regional winners will be notified thereafter.
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AND CONTINUED EXCELLENCE AWARDS
These NEAFCS awards are selected by the state affiliates. Follow the procedure as listed on the NEAFCS website awards and recognition link. In addition to the recognition listed, WEAFCS recognizes recipients at JCEP in the year following national recognition. Awardees who attend the national meeting to receive their recognition will receive $250.00 (effective 2007) from WEAFCS to offset their costs.
