NEW Check Cell installation:

NOTE: Replacement of the old with the new check cell should be performed only for the labs that have been standardized. For those few labs that have not been standardized in the past year yet, the procedure should be performed AFTER the standardization.

1.    Install the ‘revised’ check cell equation:

a.     DOS : under Equation management

Modify the equation name under Standard check cell. In the example change ISISTDF2.eqa with the ISISTDF4.eqa equation in the diskette.

B. Windows. Click on  ‘analysis’, then on  ‘files’, and  ‘advanced’, click on  and type ‘ISI check cell equation. Under ‘Model Setup’ (see figure) select the new equation “ISIstdf4.eqa” and also check on the ‘Check cell’.

2.    Make sure you are using the new standardization during scanning:

a.     DOS. In this example the std file is ‘auto0799.std’. You should use the one received from Paolo.

b.      Windows. Click on  ‘analysis’, then on  ‘files’, and  ‘advanced’, under ‘data collection’ you will find ‘Standardization filename’; In this example the std file is ‘auto0799.std’. You should use the one received from Paolo.

3.    Scan the cell 3 times. The program will automatically create a file called ‘Isistdf4.chk’;

4.    Send the ‘Isistdf4.chk’ file to Paolo (‘pberzaghi@facstaff.wisc.edu’) along with the equation file (‘isistdf4.eqa’) from the diskette;

5.    Paolo will evaluate the spectra and if necessary he will make changes to the equation;

6.    For any problem call (ph 608-264-5232) or email Paolo.
