Overview Highlights

Managing our financial resources is a key to successful leadership. UWEX leaders have always had a complicated and challenging task in managing financial resources; joint financing with significant partners; long term institutional commitments without long term guarantees of income streams; different budget cycles; budgeting in a political arena; and varying levels of financial management training. To these historic challenges new ones have been added: a significant increase in grants and their management; new revenue generation, higher degrees of financial monitoring; and new policies and practices in financial management. Effective training in managing financial resources is clearly needed for today's managerial leaders...
