Handling Fees
To help defray operating costs, counties are charged a handling fee
of $3 per title for all materials borrowed for use in Cooperative Extension-conducted
programs. The only exception is that up to 5 dairy and livestock skillathons
may be borrowed for $3. Materials for programs not conducted by Cooperative
Extension (e.g. Transportation Information Center titles, materials borrowed
for use by commercial garden centers, etc.) are subject to a $10 per item
handling fee. All borrowers are responsible for return
postage.
Most charges are billed to the county offices by Extension Publications
as part of the monthly billing process. The Transportation Information
Center and the Local Government Center cover the charges for materials
borrowed from their collections.
If you have any questions about fees, please call Mary O'Connor at (800) 353-3514.
