Diana Broshar is a Families Program Specialist for Iowa State University Extension. Working within a team structure, she has responsibilities for development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Iowa's Children, Youth and Families At Risk efforts. She has a BS in elementary education and is currently earning her M.Ed. at Iowa State University with an Emphasis in Organizational Learning and Human Resource Development. Diana enjoys following ISU sports, needle work, and reading. She and her husband Don have four children: Nathan, serving in the Army; Ryan, a senior at the University of Northern Iowa; Michelle, a junior at Iowa State University; and Kyle, a junior in high school.

Al Grigg joined Iowa State University Extension Service as the Osceola County Extension Education Director November 1, 2001 following nearly 7 years as Farm Broadcaster for Radio KICD in Spencer, Iowa and prior to that nearly 30 years in the Farm Equipment Business. Al brings to the citizens of the county networking skills that will provide the connections necessary to bring informational, educational programming into the county.

Janet Smith graduated from Iowa State with a B.S. in Home Economics Ed and taught Home Ec for one year before joining ISU Extension fourteen years ago. Her first position was as a 4-H/Youth professional in two counties. In 1991 she assumed her current position as Henry County Extension Education Director with program responsibility in all areas. She has a MA in Higher Ed-Planning, Policy & Leadership Studies from University of Iowa. Currently, she supervises a staff of 10, many of whom are employed through grant funding. Janet and her husband are the parents of 3 small children: Jared-6, Hannah-5, and Cole-1. They live on a small acreage and enjoy gardening, perennial flowers, chickens and doing kid things.

Pat Swartzlander, Wayne County Extension Education Director, has worked for Iowa State University Extension in south central Iowa for over sixteen years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and a Masters of Education in Adult and Extension Education. Her work and study interests include collaborative community development, gerontology, family policy, and volunteer development. Pat's personal interests are reading, cooking and community volunteering.
