Prior to accepting the position of Human Development Specialists for the University of Missouri Extension Outreach I was a Medical Social Worker in Chicago providing services to a large portion of elderly people. During the past three years I have been working as a Human Development Specialists in the St. Louis area serving Franklin, Jefferson and St. Louis Counties in Missouri. My focus areas are the elderly and parents of adolescence. Presently I am coordinating a fair for the St. Louis area on Grandparents Acting As Parents, (GAPP). There is a growing need across the country on this issue and as a mother of eight children and the grandmother of two, I may yet find myself acting in this role.
