I've been with

| Extension
programs have always a been a big part of my life, whether it was
being a 10-year 4-H member, a member of Indiana Extension Homemakers,
or attending farm meetings. As a life long resident of rural Shelby
County in Indiana, many of my disciplined life skills were developed
through 4-H projects, whether it was in cooking, sewing, showing dairy
cattle or Junior Leaders. The opportunity came along in 1992 for me
to reverse my involvement in Extension by being employed by Purdue
University Cooperative Extension as an Extension Educator in Consumer
and Family Sciences in Fayette, Franklin and Union counties. Then
in 1998 I transferred to Decatur County where my present responsibilities
include County Extension Director, Extension Educator-Consumer and
Family Sciences and 4-H/Youth Development. My husband, Kermit, is
an Indiana Farm Bureau district field representative in six counties,
so we get to collaborate with many of the same families. I enjoy spending
relaxation time with my three dogs, one cat and horse, as well as
constructing crafts. My favorite foods are anything chocolate! |
