I have worked for University Outreach and Extension in Missouri for 20 years. My work history has been a rich and diverse journey with many different assignments along the way but for the past 10 years I have worked as a regional nutrition specialist with programming responsibilities in 3 urban counties of Kansas City. I have a bachelor degree in home economics education from Southwest Oklahoma State University and a master in adult and continuing education from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. My husband, John, and I have two sons, Nathan, 27, and Mark, 24. Both have finished college and are embarking on their own career paths.

I am currently serving as coordinator of the Mexico Telecommunication Community Resource Center (TCRC), located in Mexico, MO: http://telecenter.missouri.edu/mexico/. The TCRC provides educational opportunities to citizens that would not normally have access-we bring education closer to home. My TCRC is one of 10 located in various rural communitites throughout the state of Missouri. All of my work experience, to date, has been within the University of Missouri Outreach and Extension. I have been with the University for a little over 19 years. I am in the third semester of working on my Ph.D. in Career and Technical Education. My master's degree is in higher and adult education and my bachelor's degree is in business administration.
