I have been
with Purdue Extension/Johnson County for 14 1/2 years working as
an Extension Educator in Consumer and Family Sciences with a Foods
and Nutrition specialty. In 2000, I took over the responsibilities
of County Extension Director where we have three county support
staff and four Purdue staff members. Prior to joining Extension,
I taught Family and Consumer Science on the secondary level. Currently,
I'm the Purdue Extension/Johnson County office manager, working
with and supporting county staff and Extension Staff, securing county
funding for office and overall management of the office. As Extension
Educator in CFS, I conduct educational programming in Food and Nutrition
and Food Safety. I partner with our local health department and
provide Food Safety and Sanitation programs to local food service
personnel. Twice yearly, we conduct the National ServSafe Training
for food service managers. Personally, I live with my husband Bob
and two dogs, Figment and Miss Muffet in the northern part of Johnson
County. Bob and I have three sons, age 17, 20 and 22.
