Strengthening organizational management for community based 4H clubs and leadership development are the current emphasis for Jodi Besthorn, Sedgwick County Extension Agent, 4H Youth Development. With a degree in Family Consumer Science Education from Sterling College, she also provides subject matter support for FCS related 4H experiences. At the state level, Jodi is currently president of KAE4HA and serves on the Kansas 4H Strategic Planning Committee. Her hobbies include reading (all kinds of books), baking bread, music, substituting as a church organist and being a member of West Wichita Rotary.

Alan is a County Extension Director in Riley County for K-State Research and Extension. He received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate from Kansas State University. Alan is responsible for coordination of the horticulture and community development programs plus administration of the office. He has trained 15 classes of Master Gardeners which have donated over $25,000 in garden tour proceeds to the KSU Gardens. Alan regularly works with County Commissioners on educational programs such as passage of the sale of the county hospital and increasing funding for roads and jobs in the county. Alan and his wife, Christy, have three boys, of which one is attending Kansas State.

Twig presently is the State Extension Beef Specialist for Cow/calf Management at Kansas State University. His responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, applied research in beef production, Kansas Bull Test, Executive Director of Beef Improvement Federation, state extension programing efforts, and management of the university commercial cowherd. Twig and his wife, Mary, have two children, Andee and Katie, both attending K-State.
