I have been employed by the University of Minnesota Extension
Service for the past 15 years. Currently as the Area Program Leader
for 4-H Youth Development, my work focuses on guiding and supporting
talented 4-H staff as they deliver programming. Previously, I worked
as an Extension Educator in 4-H Youth Development, County Extension
Director, and Interim District Director. I am excited about the
opportunity to participate in this leadership program and to share
the new knowledge and skills I learn with colleagues in Minnesota.

I am enjoying my third year with Extension, after almost 20 years
in the nonprofit
sector. My work focuses on communications and administration for
programming
concerned with the economic and civic capacity of communities. I
am particularly
interested in rural communities which face particular challenges
in this century. I
am a native Nebraskan, and my bachelor's degree is from the University
of
Nebraska-Lincoln. My masters' degree in public affairs came from
the Humphrey
Institute of the University of Minnesota.
