Dr. Phillip
Glogoza serves as the Extension Entomologist with North Dakota
State University. He has held this appointment since 1992. Dr.
Glogoza’s primary
responsibility is for the delivery of entomological information
to North Dakota clientele in the areas of insect management for
field crops, livestock, turf and ornamental, and structural pest
control. He cooperates with the NDSU Integrated Pest Management
program on an extensive, statewide, crop and pest survey program.
Dr. Glogoza serves as the North Dakota liaison for the North Central
Pest Management Center. In addition to his extension activities,
his current research activities involve the soybean aphid, a new
pest of soybean found in the U.S., and Lygus bug and its impact
in sugarbeet production. Past work includes wheat midge management
and survey, European corn borer management, and improved treatment
decision making protocols for white grub management in corn. He received
his doctorate in entomology i! n 1996 from North Dakota State University
and his Master of Science degree in entomology from the University
of Arizona in 1981. Prior to his appointment with NDSU, he worked
with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service for eleven years in
El Paso, Texas. |
