Gail Brand is an Extension Educator for the University of Nebraska in the Seward County Area. She has been in extension for 10 years. Gail received her Bachelor-1973 and Masters-1981 from the University of Nebraska. Gail is the co-leader for the State Action Team Building Strong Families and does community development, family programing, and 4-H. Some of the family programs are Parents Forever, Kids Talk About Divorce, Diversion Parenting Classes, Credit Card Blues at 22 and Family Nights.

Jessye Goertz, MS, RD, is a University of Nebraska Extension Educator in Custer County, Nebraska. Her main focus is nutrition education. She is working with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, offering nutrition education to a select group of their clientele in several counties. She and another educator have recently received a grant to offer nutrition education to 5th graders in a nine county area in central Nebraska, and several times a year she offers general nutrition education classes through the hospital in Broken Bow. Jessye shares Extension information to her clientele through a weekly newspaper article and bi-weekly radio program, and oversees a portion of the 4-H program. She has been very active in the Nebraska Cooperative Extension Association, serving as Family and Consumer Sciences president several years ago, and currently as the association treasurer. She is the secretary/treasurer of the board of directors of the newly formed Loup Basin Public Health Department.

Dr. Scott Josiah is a forester and agroforester with 28 years of short and long-term experience in forestry in the Eastern and Central US, and in the tropics (Haiti, Pacific Islands, Asia, West Africa and Central America). Originally a New Yorker, Scott received a BS in forestry at the NY State College of Environmental Science and Forestry, earned a MS in soils and botany from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and received his Ph.D. in forestry at the University of Minnesota. He currently is the State Extension Forester and Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska and directs extensive research and education programs in specialty woody crops production and marketing, community forestry, and agroforestry. He has 4 children (30, 28, 8 and 5) and 2 granddaughters.

Dewey Teel has been an Extension Educator with University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension for 22 years, 14 of which have been in Antelope County. His program emphasis has been in community collaboration on regional projects and information technology. He is the chair of the Connecting Nebraska Technology management team who coordinate technology education. He recently relocated to the Northeast Research and Extension Center distict office in Norfolk where he has been assigned to 100% Community Development with the Nebraska Rural Initiative. Dewey and his wife Carla have four children and enjoy six grandaughters. His hobby is horseback riding and he enjoys camping with his wife and family.
