As a District Specialist, I work primarily with county agents in the western part of Ohio. Programmatic areas of focus include land use planning, economic development, and leadership. I also support the applied research efforts of county agents. Prior to taking this position in 2001, I was a county agent for five years focusing on community development programming.

Within the last 2 years of my 6 years with The Ohio State University Extension I have been the County Chair & Community Development Agent for 2 urban counties in northeast Ohio. As Chair I am responsible for a staff of 16 and work with 2 separate forms of county government to gain support for and market local programming.

As the Community Development Agent, I primarily work with community based organizations to assist them with goal/program development and prioritization. With Leadership as my program focus, I hope to expand my program efforts to include all sectors of the community.
