Elaine Johannes shares a full-time Extension position with 4-H Youth Development and the Community Health Institute at Kansas State University. She facilitates the application of evidence-based community health interventions to out-of-school settings for healthy youth outcomes. She's a Kansas native and calls the "Little Apple" Manhattan, KS home with her husband, Stephan and teen-age son, Grant.

Strengthening organizational management for the community based 4-H club program and developing adult volunteers are Pam's goals for the newly establish Central Kansas District which represents Saline and Ottawa Counties. Her primary focus since July 1, 2004, has been merging the two county 4-H programs into a district program. Pam received a Bachelors and Masters degree from Kansas State University. Pam recently served on the KSRE's Strategic Planning Task Force for Cooperative Extension Mission and just completed a term on the NAE4-HA Board. Pam is an active Salina Downtown Lions member.
