GUIDELINES FOR FACILITATORS OF SATELLITE VIDEOCONFERENCES - The Day After

17. After the videoconference, conduct any additional site-based activities described in the site facilitator packet….or any local follow-up activities that you have developed (i.e. panel of experts, focus groups, leaders circles, action plans, etc.).

18. Thank participants for their attendance and give them time to complete the participant evaluation form.  Collect the evaluations as they leave and submit them, along with a final participant registration list, to the host organization.

19. Complete the site facilitator evaluation form, if one is included in the site facilitator materials, and submit it (along with the documents above) to the national videoconference host organization.

       

20. Send thank you notes to people who locally expended resources, special talents and/or time to help make the videoconference a local success. Publicize their contributions (and the videoconference success) to the local news media in which you can mention any upcoming follow-up activities or events.

Please note that some of the documents are in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) and are quite large and may take as long as 4 minutes to download using a slower modem. You may want to download and save these documents to your local PC by using your mouse to right click on their links and selecting "Save Target As", this will also allow you to view the download's progress.

In addition, the PDF files require the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The free Reader can be downloaded using the link to the left.

In order to hear Real Audio presentations, you need to have Real One Player installed on your computer. The Real One Player can be downloaded free at the web site www.real.com/player/.
