Description:
|
Design for Learning is a self-paced independent
distance learning experience, using audioconferences, print,
CDs, web-based Desire2Learn and e-mail to address five
concepts critical to designing effective educational experiences
for adults. At the conclusion of the learning experience,
participants will be better able to:
- Understand learners and their needs
- Examine and organize content
- Select appropriate teaching tools
- Create effective learning environments
- Assess learning outcomes
Here's what some of your Extension colleagues have said
about their experiences with Design for Learning:
"I highly suggest you consider this In-Service opportunity.
It was one of the best trainings I had, particularly early
in my career."
John Preissing
Northern District Director
"I did this as a professional development opportunity
about three years ago and it was job-changing!!
In fact, I keep the materials on a shelf near my desk
and a couple of times a year I review them to make sure
I am still "on track"!! Very valuable
experience!"
