DESIGN FOR LEARNING CEU ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS AND FORM

University of Wisconsin-Extension will award 1.6 CEUs to each participant in Design for Learning who:

a. Participates in the audio conference and listserv discussions, and who successfully completes the CEU Requirements outlined below.

b. Returns their completed CEU Requirements, this enrollment form and payment of $15.00 within two weeks following the completion of their program to:

CEU REQUIREMENTS

1.  Describe your selected educational issue or situation and learner profile(s) for which you designed an educational program. Reference pages 58-71 of Design for LearningA Self-Paced Guide. You may have selected from issue/situation examples A-J, or you may have designed your own issue/situation statement following the guidelines on page 71.

2. Create an educational design that addresses your issue/situation by applying what you learned in each of the five Design for Learning units. Specifically, complete the section at the end of each unit entitled "Applying the Concepts–Your Issue Statement." You may find it helpful to reference the companion sections entitled "Looking Back–A Checklist," for support and guidance. Ultimately you will have created a comprehensive educational design that will effectively address your particular educational issue or situation.

For your reference, these are the sections to be completed:

  • Unit One (Understanding Learners and Their Needs): Applying Concepts/Looking Back, pages 18-19.
  • Unit Two (Examining & Organizing Content): Applying Concepts/Looking Back, pages 27-29.
  • Unit Three (Selecting Appropriate Teaching Tools): Applying Concepts/Looking Back, pages 34-35.
  • Unit Four (Creating Effective Learning Environments: Applying Concepts/Looking Back, pages 43-44.
  • Unit Five (Assessing Learning Outcomes): Applying Concepts/Looking Back, pages 50-51.
