OD 101 (Organizational Development 101)
Description
Extension work is intended to produce positive changes (impacts) among the people, groups, and communities we work with. In pursuit of impact, Extension Educators, at one time or another, usually find themselves working with organizations in roles that might include teacher, coach, advisor, problem-solver, etc. The better equipped we are to understand about how the organizations we work with function, change, and respond to change, the more able we will be to engage with them and help them implement the changes they elect to pursue. This workshop will help participants better understand the processes and dynamics associated with organizational change and resistance to change as a means of developing their capacity to support the groups and organizations they work with. It will also explore organizational culture and its powerful impact on change.
